우리가 우리 자신으로 존재하기 위해서는 반드시 자기 자신에 대한 정체성을 가지고 있어야한다. 우리는 우리 자신 즉 지금까지의 이야기인 내면의 드라마를 재수집해야 한다. 우리의 정체성, 자아를 유지하기 위해서는 이러한 한편의 이야기 즉 연속적으로 이어지는 내면의 이야기를 필요로 한다.

To be ourselves we must have ourselves – possess, if need be re-possess, our life-stories. We must “recollect” ourselves, recollect the inner drama, the narrative, of ourselves. A man needs such a narrative, a continuous inner narrative, to maintain his identity, his self.

끊임없이 말을 할 수 없는 상황 속에서 이야기를 만들고 상상해 본다. 나의 정체성을 잃지 않기위해,, 그마저 안될때는 수 많은 색덩어리 속에 빠져보자. 

 

여러 가지의 색들은 나에게 어휘가 되고 또 그것은 조각조각 뭉쳐 이야기가 된다. 

 

때로는 충동적으로, 치밀하게 계획적으로 시작하기도 한다. 

하지만 이야기가 그렇듯 결말은 예상치 못하게 끝을 맺는다. 

그런 매력 때문에 나는 계속적으로 이런 작업를 하고 있을지 모른다. 

 

알수 없는 결말을 기대하며 

나는 오늘도 나만의 이야기 색을 고르고 뭉쳐 하루의 이야기를 만든다. 

 

When I am alone, I constantly create stories and imagine, to not lose my identity.

If I can't do that, I immerse myself in many different colors.

 

Colors become my vocabulary, and, together, they form a story.

 

Sometimes, I start impulsively or with a detailed plan. However, like with stories, it ends unexpectedly. Perhaps that is what makes me constantly create these works.

 

Expecting an unexpected ending, again, I choose and combine colors to make a story of the day.
